COMING SOON: Up to £3,750 Off Electric Cars

A brand-new government grant is on the way – and it could save you thousands.

What’s Happening?

From 16 July 2025, car manufacturers will be able to apply for the new Electric Car Grant (ECG) – part of a £650 million government scheme to support drivers switching to electric.

This will mean up to £3,750 off the price of new electric vehicles for eligible models priced at £37,000 or under.

Why It Matters to You

  • Lower upfront costs: The grant narrows the price gap between petrol and electric cars.
  • Big savings: You could save up to £1,500 a year in running costs compared to petrol.
  • Easier access: With more affordable models and more public chargers than ever, switching to electric is simpler and more cost-effective.

When Will It Start?

From 16 July 2025, manufacturers can apply to have their electric cars approved for the grant.
As soon as that happens, eligible models will begin appearing in showrooms across the UK — including here at Tony Le Voi.

We’ll update this page as soon as our qualifying stock is available.

Who Benefits?

  • Private buyers and businesses
  • Drivers looking to upgrade to electric
  • Customers choosing models that meet high sustainability standards

The grant is part of the UK Government’s Plan for Change, which aims to phase out new petrol and diesel car sales by 2030, while backing British drivers and jobs.

How Long Will It Last?

The Electric Car Grant will run until the 2028–29 financial year, or until funds are fully allocated.
